The lying alternate leg extension is an exercise targeting the core and hip flexors, promoting core stability and lower abdominal strength. It involves alternating leg extensions while keeping the torso stable, enhancing control and coordination.
How to do it
- Lie on your back with arms at your sides, legs bent at a 90-degree angle.
- Engage your core and slowly extend one leg out, keeping it slightly above the ground.
- Bring the leg back to the starting position and alternate with the other leg.
- Keep your lower back pressed into the floor throughout the movement.
- Continue to alternate legs while maintaining core engagement.
