The Lever Preacher Curl targets the biceps by isolating the movement to flexion of the elbow, using a preacher bench to stabilize the arms and eliminate swinging.

How to do it

  1. Adjust the seat of the preacher curl machine so your arms rest comfortably on the pad.
  2. Grip the lever with an underhand grip, keeping your elbows at a fixed position on the pad.
  3. Curl the lever upwards by contracting your biceps until your forearms are vertical.
  4. Pause briefly at the top, then slowly lower the lever back to the starting position.
  5. Repeat for desired repetitions, maintaining control throughout.
