Knee raises are a simple exercise that targets the lower abdominal muscles. This exercise aids in developing core strength and stability. It's particularly effective for improving balance and enhancing the hip flexors. This movement is often used as a dynamic warm-up to prepare for more intense activities.

How to do it

  1. Stand upright with feet hip-width apart.
  2. Engage your core and lift one knee towards your chest.
  3. Hold the knee at the top for a moment before lowering it back down.
  4. Repeat the movement with the opposite leg.
  5. Continue alternating for the desired number of repetitions.
