The Kettlebell Sumo Deadlift is a compound exercise primarily targeting the lower body. It involves lifting a kettlebell from the ground in a wide-stance squat position, effectively working the glutes, hamstrings, and quadriceps, while also engaging the core and lower back muscles for stability.

How to do it

  1. Stand with feet wider than shoulder-width apart, toes slightly pointed out.
  2. Place a kettlebell on the floor between your feet.
  3. Bend at the hips and knees, keeping your back straight, and grip the kettlebell.
  4. Drive through your heels to stand up, extending hips and knees simultaneously.
  5. Lower the kettlebell back to the starting position with control.
