The Kettlebell Sumo Deadlift is a compound exercise primarily targeting the lower body. It involves lifting a kettlebell from the ground in a wide-stance squat position, effectively working the glutes, hamstrings, and quadriceps, while also engaging the core and lower back muscles for stability.
How to do it
- Stand with feet wider than shoulder-width apart, toes slightly pointed out.
- Place a kettlebell on the floor between your feet.
- Bend at the hips and knees, keeping your back straight, and grip the kettlebell.
- Drive through your heels to stand up, extending hips and knees simultaneously.
- Lower the kettlebell back to the starting position with control.
