The Dumbbell Sumo Deadlift is a lower body exercise focusing on building strength in the glutes, quadriceps, and hamstrings. This variation of the deadlift emphasizes hip and leg engagement while also enhancing grip strength with the use of dumbbells.
How to do it
- Stand with feet wider than shoulder-width apart, toes pointed slightly out.
- Hold a dumbbell in each hand, arms hanging between your legs.
- Lower your body by bending at the hips and knees, keeping chest up.
- Push through your heels to stand back up, maintaining a straight back.
- Repeat, keeping dumbbells close to your body throughout the movement.
