The kettlebell split squat is a lower-body exercise that helps build strength and stability in the legs and core. It involves holding a kettlebell while performing a lunge-like movement, targeting the quadriceps, glutes, and hamstrings, and improving balance.

How to do it

  1. Stand with feet hip-width apart, holding a kettlebell in one hand.
  2. Step one foot back into a split stance, keeping your torso upright.
  3. Lower your back knee towards the ground, ensuring your front knee stays over your ankle.
  4. Push through your front heel to return to the starting position.
  5. Repeat for the desired number of reps before switching sides.
