The kettlebell thruster is a compound exercise that combines a front squat with an overhead press. It engages multiple muscle groups, enhancing strength and cardiovascular endurance. This functional movement helps improve coordination and power.

How to do it

  1. Hold a kettlebell in each hand at shoulder height with feet shoulder-width apart.
  2. Perform a deep squat by bending the knees and hips while keeping the chest up.
  3. Drive through the heels to stand up and press the kettlebells overhead.
  4. Return the kettlebells to shoulder height as you descend into the next squat.
  5. Repeat the movement for the desired number of reps.
