The kettlebell thruster is a compound exercise that combines a front squat with an overhead press. It engages multiple muscle groups, enhancing strength and cardiovascular endurance. This functional movement helps improve coordination and power.
How to do it
- Hold a kettlebell in each hand at shoulder height with feet shoulder-width apart.
- Perform a deep squat by bending the knees and hips while keeping the chest up.
- Drive through the heels to stand up and press the kettlebells overhead.
- Return the kettlebells to shoulder height as you descend into the next squat.
- Repeat the movement for the desired number of reps.
