Jumping pull-ups are a dynamic exercise that combines a jumping motion with a pull-up to increase upper body strength, particularly the back and arm muscles. This exercise is useful for building explosive strength and improving pull-up performance by using momentum from the jump to assist in the upward movement.
How to do it
- Stand under the pull-up bar with your feet shoulder-width apart.
- Jump explosively, gripping the bar and using the momentum to pull yourself upward.
- Pull until your chin is above the bar, engaging your back and arms.
- Lower yourself back down in a controlled manner.
- Release the bar and return to the starting position.
