Jumping pull-ups are a dynamic exercise that combines a jumping motion with a pull-up to increase upper body strength, particularly the back and arm muscles. This exercise is useful for building explosive strength and improving pull-up performance by using momentum from the jump to assist in the upward movement.

How to do it

  1. Stand under the pull-up bar with your feet shoulder-width apart.
  2. Jump explosively, gripping the bar and using the momentum to pull yourself upward.
  3. Pull until your chin is above the bar, engaging your back and arms.
  4. Lower yourself back down in a controlled manner.
  5. Release the bar and return to the starting position.
