The JM bench press is a hybrid exercise combining the traditional bench press and tricep extension. It targets the triceps while allowing lifters to handle more weight than a conventional extension. This move is effective for building tricep strength and mass, benefiting pressing power in various lifts.

How to do it

  1. Lie on a bench holding an EZ bar with a pronated grip, arms extended.
  2. Lower the bar by bending your elbows, keeping them slightly tucked.
  3. Stop just before the bar touches your chin, then press back up.
  4. Keep your wrists straight and control the movement throughout.
  5. Repeat for the desired number of reps.
