The JM bench press is a hybrid exercise combining the traditional bench press and tricep extension. It targets the triceps while allowing lifters to handle more weight than a conventional extension. This move is effective for building tricep strength and mass, benefiting pressing power in various lifts.
How to do it
- Lie on a bench holding an EZ bar with a pronated grip, arms extended.
- Lower the bar by bending your elbows, keeping them slightly tucked.
- Stop just before the bar touches your chin, then press back up.
- Keep your wrists straight and control the movement throughout.
- Repeat for the desired number of reps.
