The dumbbell scaption is an exercise that targets the shoulder muscles, especially involving movement raising the arms in a plane between the front and side. It enhances shoulder stability and strength, promoting balanced muscle development.
How to do it
- Stand with feet hip-width apart, holding dumbbells at your sides.
- Keep a slight bend in the elbows and palms facing inward.
- Lift the dumbbells diagonally, forming a 'Y' with your body, until arms are level with shoulders.
- Lower back to starting position with control.
- Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
