The Dumbbell Straight Arm Crunch is an abdominal exercise that targets the rectus abdominis while improving core strength. By holding a dumbbell with arms extended, resistance is added to the movement, increasing the challenge for the core muscles.

How to do it

  1. Lie on your back with knees bent and feet flat on the floor.
  2. Hold a dumbbell with both hands, extending your arms straight above your chest.
  3. Engage your core and lift your shoulders off the ground, keeping arms extended.
  4. Pause briefly at the top of the movement.
  5. Lower your back to the starting position in a controlled manner.
