The Dumbbell Straight Arm Crunch is an abdominal exercise that targets the rectus abdominis while improving core strength. By holding a dumbbell with arms extended, resistance is added to the movement, increasing the challenge for the core muscles.
How to do it
- Lie on your back with knees bent and feet flat on the floor.
- Hold a dumbbell with both hands, extending your arms straight above your chest.
- Engage your core and lift your shoulders off the ground, keeping arms extended.
- Pause briefly at the top of the movement.
- Lower your back to the starting position in a controlled manner.
