The Dumbbell Step-Up is a lower body exercise that enhances strength and stability. It targets the muscles of the thighs and glutes, improving balance and coordination. Ideal for building functional strength, it involves stepping onto an elevated platform while holding dumbbells.

How to do it

  1. Stand upright holding a dumbbell in each hand.
  2. Place one foot firmly on a bench or step.
  3. Push through the heel of the front foot to lift your body up onto the bench.
  4. Bring the trailing leg up to stand fully on the bench.
  5. Step back down and repeat with the opposite leg.
