The dumbbell standing alternate vertical front raise targets the front of the shoulders and upper chest. By alternating arms, you engage the core to stabilize the body, enhancing balance and coordination.

How to do it

  1. Stand upright with feet shoulder-width apart, holding a dumbbell in each hand.
  2. With a controlled motion, raise one dumbbell forward to shoulder height while keeping the arm straight.
  3. Lower the dumbbell back to the starting position and repeat with the opposite arm.
  4. Continue alternating arms throughout the set.
  5. Keep your core engaged and maintain a neutral spine.
