The Dumbbell Single Leg Step-Up is a strength exercise targeting the lower body. It involves stepping onto a platform with one leg while holding dumbbells, promoting balance, coordination, and muscular endurance primarily in the quadriceps and gluteus maximus.
How to do it
- Stand facing a step with dumbbells in each hand.
- Place your right foot on the step and push through your heel to lift your body up.
- Bring your left knee up to hip level for balance.
- Lower yourself back down with control and repeat on the other side.
