The curtsey squat is a lower body exercise that targets the gluteus maximus and quadriceps, with additional focus on balance and stability. It involves stepping one leg behind the other in a curtsy motion while maintaining a squat position, which enhances lower body strength and coordination.

How to do it

  1. Stand with feet shoulder-width apart and hands clasped in front of your chest.
  2. Step your right foot diagonally behind your left leg, lowering your hips into a squat.
  3. Keep your torso upright and core engaged as you descend.
  4. Push through your left heel to return to the starting position.
  5. Repeat on the opposite side and continue alternating.
