The Dumbbell Single Leg Squat is an advanced lower body exercise that enhances balance, coordination, and unilateral strength. It primarily targets the quadriceps while also engaging core stability and other lower body muscles.

How to do it

  1. Stand upright holding a dumbbell in one hand, feet hip-width apart.
  2. Lift one leg off the ground and extend it in front for balance.
  3. Slowly lower your body into a squat on the standing leg, maintaining balance.
  4. Descend until your thigh is parallel to the ground or as comfortable.
  5. Drive through the heel to return to the starting position.
