The Dumbbell Single Leg Calf Raise is a unilateral exercise focusing on strengthening the calf muscles and improving balance. It involves raising the heel while standing on one foot, holding a dumbbell for added resistance.

How to do it

  1. Hold a dumbbell in one hand and use the other hand to support yourself against a sturdy object.
  2. Stand on one leg with the other foot slightly off the ground.
  3. Slowly raise your heel as high as possible, contracting your calf.
  4. Pause briefly at the top before lowering back down.
  5. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions and switch legs.
