The standing calf raise with support is an effective exercise for strengthening the calf muscles. It involves lifting the heels off the ground while maintaining balance with the help of support, engaging the lower leg muscles extensively.

How to do it

  1. Stand upright facing a bench or chair for balance support.
  2. Place your feet shoulder-width apart and hold the support lightly.
  3. Raise your heels as high as possible by pressing onto the balls of your feet.
  4. Hold the position briefly at the top before slowly lowering your heels back to the floor.
  5. Repeat the movement for the desired number of repetitions.
