The Dumbbell Side Lunge is an effective exercise for strengthening the lower body, targeting the legs and improving balance and coordination. It involves stepping laterally with dumbbells, working on leg muscles from different angles compared to traditional lunges.
How to do it
- Stand with feet together, holding a dumbbell in each hand at your sides.
- Step out to the side with your right leg, keeping your left leg straight.
- Lower your hips by bending your right knee and pushing your hips back.
- Push through your right foot to return to the starting position.
- Repeat on the other side and continue alternating.
