The dumbbell pullover is a versatile exercise that targets the chest and back muscles while also engaging the core. It is performed lying on a bench and involves moving a dumbbell from behind the head to above the chest, promoting shoulder mobility and upper body strength.

How to do it

  1. Lie on a bench with your feet flat on the floor and hold a dumbbell with both hands above your chest.
  2. Keep your elbows slightly bent and lower the dumbbell in an arc behind your head until you feel a stretch in your chest.
  3. Slowly bring the dumbbell back above your chest, focusing on controlled movement.
  4. Maintain a strong core and avoid overarching your back throughout the exercise.
  5. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
