The Dumbbell Press Squat combines a squatting motion with an overhead press. This exercise enhances both lower and upper body strength, focusing on explosive power and coordination. It's effective for building muscle mass, enhancing endurance, and improving proprioception.
How to do it
- Hold a dumbbell vertically with both hands close to your chest.
- Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart.
- Lower into a squat, keeping your chest up and back straight.
- As you rise from the squat, press the dumbbell overhead.
- Lower the dumbbell back to your chest and repeat.
