The Dumbbell Lying Extension (Across Face) targets the triceps by extending the arms while lying on a bench. This variation involves moving the dumbbells across the face, which engages the muscles differently compared to traditional triceps extensions.
How to do it
- Lie flat on a bench with a dumbbell in each hand.
- Extend your arms straight up over your face, palms facing each other.
- Lower the dumbbells in an arc motion across the face towards the opposite shoulder.
- Pause at the bottom, then extend your arms back to the starting position.
- Keep your elbows slightly bent to maintain tension.
