The Dumbbell Lying Extension (Across Face) targets the triceps by extending the arms while lying on a bench. This variation involves moving the dumbbells across the face, which engages the muscles differently compared to traditional triceps extensions.

How to do it

  1. Lie flat on a bench with a dumbbell in each hand.
  2. Extend your arms straight up over your face, palms facing each other.
  3. Lower the dumbbells in an arc motion across the face towards the opposite shoulder.
  4. Pause at the bottom, then extend your arms back to the starting position.
  5. Keep your elbows slightly bent to maintain tension.
