The Dolphin Pose is a yoga exercise that enhances shoulder and upper back strength while stretching the hamstrings and calves. This pose is beneficial for improving flexibility and balance, as well as strengthening the core.
How to do it
- Start on your hands and knees, with your shoulders above your wrists and hips above your knees.
- Lower your forearms to the ground, with elbows aligned under your shoulders, and interlace your fingers.
- Tuck your toes under and lift your hips toward the ceiling, forming an inverted V shape.
- Press your forearms into the ground and keep your head in a neutral position.
- Hold the position, breathing deeply, and engage your core throughout the exercise.
