How to do it
- Stand upright with feet shoulder-width apart, holding the barbell with an overhand grip.
- Begin with the barbell resting against the thighs, arms fully extended.
- Lift the barbell vertically, keeping it close to the body until it reaches chest height.
- Pause briefly at the top, squeezing the shoulder blades together.
- Lower the barbell back to the starting position in a controlled manner.
