Bench

The decline crunch is an abdominal exercise performed on a decline bench to target the core muscles more intensely. By positioning the body on a decline, the exercise adds extra resistance, making the core work harder, particularly the rectus abdominis.

How to do it

  1. Lie on a decline bench with feet secured under the pads.
  2. Place hands behind the head, elbows wide.
  3. Engage the core and lift the upper torso towards the thighs.
  4. Pause briefly at the top, then return slowly to the starting position.
  5. Repeat for the desired number of reps.
