The dumbbell chest fly targets the pectoral muscles, helping to increase chest width and definition. Lying on a bench, you extend your arms with a slight bend in the elbows, bringing the dumbbells together over your chest before lowering them in a controlled arc.

How to do it

  1. Lie on a bench with a dumbbell in each hand, arms extended above your chest.
  2. Maintain a slight bend in your elbows and slowly open your arms wide, lowering the dumbbells to the side.
  3. Pause when your arms are in line with your chest, and then bring the dumbbells back together over your chest.
