The chest dip is a bodyweight exercise primarily targeting the chest muscles. It involves lowering and raising the body using parallel bars or a dip bar, focusing on the pectoralis muscles. This exercise also engages the triceps and shoulders, promoting upper body strength and muscle definition.

How to do it

  1. Grip the parallel bars with your arms straight and shoulders relaxed.
  2. Lean slightly forward to engage the chest muscles.
  3. Lower your body by bending the elbows until your upper arms are parallel to the floor.
  4. Press through your palms to raise your body back to the starting position.
  5. Keep your core engaged and feet together throughout the movement.
