The cable wide-grip lat pulldown targets the muscles in the back, specifically engaging the latissimus dorsi. It is performed using a cable machine, which allows for a controlled downward pull motion, aiding in developing upper body strength and improving posture.

How to do it

  1. Sit on the seat of the cable machine and grasp the wide bar with an overhand grip.
  2. Position your hands wider than shoulder-width apart.
  3. Keep your chest up and pull the bar down to your upper chest, focusing on squeezing the shoulder blades together.
  4. Slowly return the bar to the starting position, maintaining control.
  5. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
