The Cable Pushdown is an effective triceps isolation exercise performed on a cable machine. It focuses on strengthening and building the triceps muscles by pushing down a cable attachment against resistance.
How to do it
- Adjust the cable machine to a high position and attach a straight or V bar.
- Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, gripping the bar with both hands.
- Keep elbows close to your body and push the bar down until arms are fully extended.
- Slowly return to the starting position, maintaining control.
- Repeat for desired reps, focusing on engaging the triceps.
