The Cable Pushdown is an effective triceps isolation exercise performed on a cable machine. It focuses on strengthening and building the triceps muscles by pushing down a cable attachment against resistance.

How to do it

  1. Adjust the cable machine to a high position and attach a straight or V bar.
  2. Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, gripping the bar with both hands.
  3. Keep elbows close to your body and push the bar down until arms are fully extended.
  4. Slowly return to the starting position, maintaining control.
  5. Repeat for desired reps, focusing on engaging the triceps.
