The cable preacher curl is an isolation exercise focusing on the biceps. It involves curling a handle attached to a low pulley cable while seated on a preacher bench. This variation allows for continuous tension throughout the movement, effectively targeting the biceps for hypertrophy and strength development.
How to do it
- Position yourself on the preacher bench with your arms resting on the pad.
- Grab the handle attached to the low pulley with an underhand grip.
- Keeping your upper arms stationary, curl the handle upwards by contracting the biceps.
- Squeeze the biceps at the top and slowly lower the handle back.
- Repeat for the desired number of reps, maintaining control throughout.
