Cable Curl
Gym Exercise Card
Equipment
The cable curl is an isolation exercise targeting the biceps, particularly useful for developing arm size and strength. It offers constant tension throughout the movement, improving muscle engagement. Typically performed using a cable machine, this exercise reduces the need for heavy free weights while effectively stimulating biceps growth.
How to do it
- Attach a straight or EZ bar to the cable machine at the low pulley.
- Stand upright with feet shoulder-width apart, holding the bar with an underhand grip.
- Keep elbows close to your torso and curl the bar towards your shoulders.
- Squeeze your biceps at the top of the movement, then slowly lower the bar back to the starting position.
- Repeat for the desired number of repetitions, maintaining control throughout.
