The overhead triceps extension targets the triceps brachii by extending the arms above the head. It helps build arm strength and definition, particularly in the upper arm. Performing this exercise with controlled movement engages the triceps while also involving shoulder stabilization.
How to do it
- Stand upright, holding a bottle with both hands.
- Extend your arms fully overhead, elbows close to your head.
- Slowly lower the bottle behind your head by bending your elbows.
- Extend your arms back to the starting position to complete one rep.
- Keep your core engaged and back straight throughout the movement.
