Bodyweight woodchoppers are a dynamic exercise that enhances core strength and stability by mimicking a wood-chopping motion. This movement primarily targets the obliques and improves rotational power, which is beneficial for sports and everyday functional movements.
How to do it
- Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent.
- Clasp your hands together and extend arms diagonally above your shoulder.
- Engage your core and swing your arms down diagonally across your body.
- Rotate your hips and bend your knees as you lower your arms.
- Return to the starting position and repeat on the opposite side.
