Bodyweight woodchoppers are a dynamic exercise that enhances core strength and stability by mimicking a wood-chopping motion. This movement primarily targets the obliques and improves rotational power, which is beneficial for sports and everyday functional movements.

How to do it

  1. Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent.
  2. Clasp your hands together and extend arms diagonally above your shoulder.
  3. Engage your core and swing your arms down diagonally across your body.
  4. Rotate your hips and bend your knees as you lower your arms.
  5. Return to the starting position and repeat on the opposite side.
