Equipment
The Bent Arm Chest Stretch is a static stretch aimed at increasing flexibility in the chest and shoulders. It helps alleviate tightness in the Pectoralis Major muscles, often resulting from exercise or prolonged posture. This stretch is useful for improving range of motion and reducing muscle tension.
How to do it
- Stand next to a wall and raise one arm, elbow bent, to shoulder height.
- Place your forearm against the wall, with the elbow bent at a 90-degree angle.
- Gently rotate your torso away from the wall until you feel a stretch in your chest and shoulder.
- Hold the position for 15-30 seconds while breathing deeply.
- Repeat on the other side.
