The Barbell Standing Twist is an exercise aimed at improving core strength and rotational stability. It involves twisting the torso while holding a barbell across the shoulders, targeting the obliques and enhancing trunk flexibility.

How to do it

  1. Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, holding a barbell across your upper back.
  2. Engage your core and keep your spine neutral.
  3. Twist your torso to the left, keeping your hips stable.
  4. Return to center, then twist to the right.
  5. Continue alternating sides in a controlled manner.
