The Barbell JM Bench Press is a variation of the bench press focusing on strength and development of the triceps. It combines elements of a traditional bench press and a triceps extension to effectively target the triceps while also engaging the chest to a lesser extent.
How to do it
- Lie on a bench with your feet flat on the ground.
- Grip the barbell with a narrow grip and lift it off the rack.
- Lower the bar towards your mid-chest, bending the elbows and keeping them close to the body.
- Press the bar back up using the triceps, extending the arms fully.
- Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
