The decline barbell pullover primarily targets the chest muscles while also engaging the shoulders and triceps. It's performed on a decline bench to facilitate a greater range of motion and increased muscle activation.

How to do it

  1. Lie on a decline bench holding a barbell with arms extended above the chest.
  2. Slowly lower the barbell in an arc over your head, keeping elbows slightly bent.
  3. Bring the barbell back to the starting position above your chest.
