The Barbell Box Squat is a lower body exercise that enhances overall strength and power, focusing on the quadriceps and glutes. It involves squatting down to a box, which acts as a depth guide and ensures consistent form, helping prevent injuries and encourage muscle engagement.

How to do it

  1. Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, barbell securely on your upper back.
  2. Position a box behind you, ensuring it's at the right height for your squat depth.
  3. Engage your core and lower your hips back and down to touch the box lightly.
  4. Drive through your heels to return to standing, maintaining a strong back.
  5. Repeat the motion, ensuring controlled movements throughout.
