The Band Step-Up is a lower-body exercise that primarily targets the legs and glutes, enhancing strength and balance. It involves stepping onto an elevated surface using a resistance band to add intensity and improve muscle activation.
How to do it
- Secure the resistance band under one foot and hold the handles at chest height.
- Stand facing a bench or step with feet hip-width apart.
- Step onto the bench with your banded foot, driving through the heel.
- Bring the opposite knee up for balance, then slowly lower back to the starting position.
- Repeat for the desired number of reps, then switch legs.
