The ball sit-up is a core-strengthening exercise performed on a stability ball. It challenges the abdominals while improving balance and coordination. By using the stability ball, the exercise engages the core muscles more effectively than traditional sit-ups.

How to do it

  1. Sit on a stability ball with feet flat on the floor, hip-width apart.
  2. Walk your feet forward, lying back until the lower back is supported by the ball.
  3. Place hands behind your head, elbows wide.
  4. Engage the core and lift the upper body toward the thighs.
  5. Slowly lower back, maintaining control, and repeat.
