The Back Scrub exercise is an effective bodyweight movement that targets your upper body flexibility and mobility. By mimicking the motion of scrubbing your own back, this exercise helps improve shoulder range of motion, reduce stiffness, and enhance overall upper body coordination. It's a simple yet powerful way to maintain joint health and prevent injuries.

How to do it

  1. Stand tall with feet shoulder-width apart, keeping a relaxed posture.
  2. Extend one arm above your head, bending the elbow to reach down toward your upper back.
  3. Bring the opposite arm behind your back, reaching up to meet the elbow of the top arm.
  4. Gently interlace your fingers or get them as close as possible, feeling a stretch across your shoulders.
  5. Hold this position for a few seconds, then switch arms and repeat for the desired number of reps.
