The assisted weighted push-up is an advanced variation of the traditional push-up, where additional resistance is added via a weight plate on the back. This exercise enhances upper body strength, particularly targeting the chest and triceps, while also engaging the core for stabilization.

How to do it

  1. Begin in a high plank position with hands shoulder-width apart.
  2. Have a partner place a weight plate on your upper back securely.
  3. Lower your body until your chest nearly touches the ground.
  4. Push back up to the starting position, maintaining a tight core.
  5. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
