Assisted Weighted Push-Up
Gym Exercise Card
Equipment
The assisted weighted push-up is an advanced variation of the traditional push-up, where additional resistance is added via a weight plate on the back. This exercise enhances upper body strength, particularly targeting the chest and triceps, while also engaging the core for stabilization.
How to do it
- Begin in a high plank position with hands shoulder-width apart.
- Have a partner place a weight plate on your upper back securely.
- Lower your body until your chest nearly touches the ground.
- Push back up to the starting position, maintaining a tight core.
- Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
