The twisting crunch is an abdominal exercise targeting the obliques and rectus abdominis. It enhances core strength and stability through a combination of crunching and rotational movements, engaging the muscles of the entire core while improving overall torso flexibility.
How to do it
- Lie flat on your back with your knees bent.
- Place your hands lightly behind your head for support.
- Lift your head and shoulders off the ground, twisting your torso to the right and bringing your left elbow towards your right knee.
- Switch sides, bringing your right elbow towards your left knee while keeping feet off the ground.
- Repeat, alternating sides in a controlled manner.
