The twisting crunch is an abdominal exercise targeting the obliques and rectus abdominis. It enhances core strength and stability through a combination of crunching and rotational movements, engaging the muscles of the entire core while improving overall torso flexibility.

How to do it

  1. Lie flat on your back with your knees bent.
  2. Place your hands lightly behind your head for support.
  3. Lift your head and shoulders off the ground, twisting your torso to the right and bringing your left elbow towards your right knee.
  4. Switch sides, bringing your right elbow towards your left knee while keeping feet off the ground.
  5. Repeat, alternating sides in a controlled manner.
