The Weighted Plate Cossack Squat is an exercise that targets lower body strength, flexibility, and stability. It focuses on the adductors, quadriceps, and glutes while improving balance and mobility due to the lateral movement and squat combination.
How to do it
- Stand with feet wide apart, holding a weight plate close to the chest.
- Shift weight to one leg, bending the knee and lowering into a squat on that side while keeping the other leg straight.
- Ensure the foot of the straight leg stays flat, and torso remains upright.
- Push through the heel of the bent leg to return to the starting position.
- Repeat on the opposite side.
