Gym Exercise Card
Equipment
The Smith Deadlift is a compound exercise targeting the posterior chain, particularly effective for building strength and size in the back and lower body. It uses the fixed path of a Smith Machine to stabilize the movement, making it suitable for controlled lifting.
How to do it
- Position feet shoulder-width apart under the Smith Machine bar.
- Grip the bar with an overhand grip, slightly wider than shoulder-width.
- Engage core and maintain a neutral spine as you lift the bar by extending hips and knees.
- Lower the bar back to the starting position with control.
- Repeat for desired reps, keeping the movement smooth and controlled.
