The 45-degree leg press is an effective lower body exercise focusing primarily on strengthening the quadriceps. This exercise also enhances leg power and provides muscle growth in the lower body, especially targeting the glutes and hamstrings.
How to do it
- Sit on the sled machine bench with your feet shoulder-width apart on the platform.
- Release the safety handles and press the platform away by extending your legs.
- Lower the platform slowly by bending your knees towards your chest but not letting your knees lock.
- Press the weight back up by extending your legs to the starting position.
- Repeat for desired repetitions and safely engage the locking mechanism when finished.
