The sissy squat is an isolation exercise focused on the quadriceps, promoting balance and knee stability. This bodyweight version uses a bench for support, enabling a deep knee bend while keeping the hips extended, effectively targeting the quadriceps.
How to do it
- Stand with feet shoulder-width apart and hold a bench for support.
- Cross arms over your chest and lean back slightly.
- Lower your body by bending your knees, keeping hips extended.
- Descend as far as comfortable, then return to standing by extending knees.
