The sissy squat is an isolation exercise focused on the quadriceps, promoting balance and knee stability. This bodyweight version uses a bench for support, enabling a deep knee bend while keeping the hips extended, effectively targeting the quadriceps.

How to do it

  1. Stand with feet shoulder-width apart and hold a bench for support.
  2. Cross arms over your chest and lean back slightly.
  3. Lower your body by bending your knees, keeping hips extended.
  4. Descend as far as comfortable, then return to standing by extending knees.
