The standing external rotation with a resistance band is an exercise aimed at strengthening the rotator cuff muscles, particularly enhancing shoulder stability and health. It's effective for improving shoulder flexibility and preventing injuries.
How to do it
- Secure the resistance band at waist height, holding it with both hands.
- Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, elbows bent at 90 degrees, close to your sides.
- Rotate your forearms outward, keeping elbows close to your body.
- Return to the starting position with controlled motion.
- Repeat the movement for the desired number of reps.
