The overhead slam is an explosive full-body exercise that primarily targets the core, while also engaging the upper and lower body. It improves power, strength, and endurance by combining a lifting and slamming motion.

How to do it

  1. Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, holding a medicine ball with both hands.
  2. Lift the ball overhead, extending your arms fully while engaging your core.
  3. Slam the ball down onto the ground with force, using your entire body.
  4. Catch the ball as it rebounds and return to the starting position.
  5. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
