The narrow squat from a deficit targets the lower body by emphasizing the quadriceps and improving balance and joint stability. This variation increases the range of motion, enhancing flexibility and muscle activation.

How to do it

  1. Stand on a step with feet close together, toes pointing forward.
  2. Engage core and keep chest up.
  3. Lower hips back and down, bending knees until thighs are parallel to the ground.
  4. Push through heels to return to start.
  5. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
